Alfred’s Basic Piano Library: Piano Lesson Book, Complete Levels 2 & 3 for the Later Beginner

are there any good piano books to buy online for a kind of beginner?

i finished a book already and the two last songs were “The Entertainer” and “Amazing Grace”
sorry i don’t know what the book is called, but i know its probably the largest sold piano book in the U.S.
i was already playing the piano for about 3 years, and i have very fast hand, and i used to play in percussion, so i do have experience in reading, but need a book that is for beginner/experienced people.
does anybody have any suggestions??any information will help.
I appreciate the answer, but i really cant afford anything right now, my parents are in a huge funk, and I just cant afford it.
I really want to take lessons SO BADLY, but i cant.

What piano books are the best for a beginner pianist/organist.?

I recently finished reading piano for dummies and through that I learned nearly every chord, scale, as well as articulations and symbols so I basically have all the basics down, but I was wondering what books could help me build on the basics that i could check out from my library. I am trying to teach myself, I do have a teacher as well, and have only been practicing two months. Which books are the best piano teaching guides for semi-beginners who have the basics down. I do play organ as well, so are there any organ books too, my first keyboard I’m buying is a Hammond clonewheel if that helps.

Is there a piano book that is similar to Hanon that is useful for beginner piano players?

I am interested in this book specifically, Virtuoso Pianist in 60 Exercises – Complete: Piano Technique by C.L. Hanon. However, it’s specifically for intermediate to advance players and I would be starting from scratch with no previous experience. Is there an elementary or fundamental version of this book for people with little to no experience? (one year or nothing) Any ideas?
Or just something really close to it by Hanon or someone else for newbies? Thanks!

What method books to use for a beginner adult piano player?

I have an adult who wants to learn to play the piano. He has no previous musical experience, hence I will have to teach him the basics, ie. start by teaching him notes and note values before he can actually begin with his lessons.

What books should I use to:
1) Teach him notes and note values
2) Actually teach him to play the piano

I’ve heard that the Thompson books are excellent, yet I would like some feedback to decide on the best method books. Thanks.
